We grew up enjoying this appetizer as it became popular in the 70's.  Mom and Dad enjoyed having friends over for cocktail parties.  My brothers and I would make an appearance at some point to smile and wave - and once in a while put on a little skit.  After that, it was into our jammies and off to bed.  But the food was always plentiful and "classic"!

Ingredients

1 - 8 oz. cream cheese
2 Tbsp. milk
1 - 2 1/2 oz. jar dried beef (finely snipped)
2 Tbsp. minced onion
2 Tbsp. bell pepper (finely chopped)
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

Directions

Blend cheese and milk. Stir in rest of ingredients except nuts.  Spoon into 8" pie plate. Sprinkle with nuts.*  Bake at 350º for 15 minutes.  Serve hot w/crackers.* (Can be heated in micro.)
