Mimi was given this delightful Coffee Cake recipe from a friend in Germany. I have no doubt she made it for years before I knew her - bringing this delicious treat to so many people. After I met Mike, I remember Mimi making this incredible treat for new neighbors, visitors at Ronald McDonald House, and dropping it off at Mike's workplace, Cindy's WTA offices and Pam's work too! Always bringing smiles! Give it a try - you'll love it!
Ingredients
1/4 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 pint sour cream
2 c. flour
1 tsp soda (baking soda)
1 tsp baking powder
Topping
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. chopped pecans
Directions
Grease & flour pan - Fluted angel food pan
Place mix in pan & sprinkle topping over the top. Take knife & cut topping through the batter - do not overmix.
Bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Let cool.
