Pumpernickel Bread Toasties

These little morsels are easy to make and delicious!  They are a great addition to any appetizer spread and makes a great accompaniment to your charcuterie.  Mom made these treats for us occasionally throughout the years but always for social gatherings.  Best of the 70s!

Ingredients

1 loaf cocktail pumpernickel bread
1 small onion, minced
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 cup Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup mayonnaise

Directions

Mix onion, Worcestershire sauce, Parmesan cheese and mayonnaise.  Place bread slices on cookie sheet and toast for a couple minutes under broiler.  Turn over. Top with cheese mixture and broil until lightly golden and "toastie"!
