Hofbräuhaus St. Petersburg

Wow.  What a treat.  I imagined this great place as I followed it on Facebook for several months, as the posts continued to tease me... "coming soon," it said... "beer hall coming to St. Pete," it said.  I "liked" the page, as I was asked... it reminded me of a tiny memory from when I lived in Germany and, so I am told, had my first taste of that Bier.  No, I don't remember that taste but I remember the energy...and the memory of my folks...  it was like this...Oktoberfest....Munich 1967...

The Hofbräuhaus lives up to it's reputation.  A bunch of us went down over Christmas last year and had a great time!

We started with a round of bier, of course, and several very large pretzels.  This was followed by our main courses of sausage and potato pancakes (yum!), liverwurst, sauerkraut....and lively music from the oompah band!

Ya gotta love a website that explains "The Beer" - right?
